Has written to Miss Nelson. Has started a few drawings and is painting as much as he can. It will soon be impossible to stay here and work. Discusses his options and his plans for work. There is a young musician with a lot of talent who wants to do a ballet with him, but he feels it is a waste of time. He must get the stuff done for America and work on the book. Asks Beaton what has happened to his articles and what he is doing for the films. The landscape here will soon be very paintable. Discusses ideas for paintings. Has got hold of a wonderful translation of the Tao.
