Scope and content
Beaton's letter was delightful. Asks if Beaton could buy her various objects in New York. Queen Mary came to tea last week. The party was her, Michael, and 'Pussy' Milnes Gaskell. Queen Mary has a fantastic memory. She is easier to talk to than she used to be and happy to be back in London. She even enjoyed the Uni party. Tells Beaton not to broadcast any of this. Discusses the opening of Covent Garden. Describes the ballet and conjuring acts. Diana is visiting soon. The Charles de Polignacs gave a good party.
