Scope and content

They are all glad that sister and Goetz are getting married apart from Edw. J. who didn't speak to any of them for a month, then Pavlik started getting a cable a day from Havana. Thinks Edw. is becoming an American citizen. Thanks Beaton for the royal memoirs ("My Royal Past"). Has read the book aloud to Pavlik in the evenings. Parker loved every line. Alice de la Mar wants to know where she can get copies for herself and Peggy. Wants sister to stay away from California for as long as possible. Describes an ice-storm they had a week ago. They were thrilled at Beaton's come back in "Life". Discusses George and Horst. Asks about the Christmas pantomime for the troops. Is having a book of poems published called "The Overturned Lake". The cover and frontispiece will be by Matta. Pavlik is having an exhibition of 1925-1940 drawings. They hope to take a house in Mexico next winter. Discusses Gertrude Cato.
