Scope and content

Parker says he saw a copy of "Cecil Beaton's New York" and it looked 'scintillant, well-produced' and the chapter on them was 'charmingly impertinent'. Discusses various plays. They did not go to see Danton's play, but sent a telegram. Does not know what kind of reviews it got but thinks the radio publicity will help. Pavlik's show of "Phenomena" opened at Levy's and it looked much better than at Tooth's. Mentions the 'miscast' critics. Lincoln attempts to criticise Russians in order to 'push' his Ballet Caravan to financial success. The critics praised "St. Francis". Describes the weather and his surroundings. The cow with the map of Africa on her body is 'continuously calling someone to dinner'. Pavlik is painting and Ford has begun a new book. Gertrude has been staying with them.
