Scope and content

They are travelling towards Paris where Jouvet is waiting on Pavlik's sketches for Giraudoux's play, "Ondine". It was all arranged at the eleventh hour. Pavlik had to turn down the offer before Christmas, but it was postponed and his health is now in very good shape. Ford had to interrupt the long poetry book he has been writing but it can be taken up again where he put it down. They are all sorry that "Wuthering Heights" didn't go on, the main reason being that no Heathcliff could be found. Sister has missed out on account of it. When it comes to New York she may be put in it, but she needs a job now. Parker spent a lot of weekend with them in the country and is looking and feeling time. Recommends books for Beaton to read.
