Scope and content

He has been having a horrible time as both Tony and Barbara Backeland have gone completely crazy. It has been up to him to keep them together. Describes the fights and troubles between the Backelands. Barbara went to stay in a deserted villa. Tony ended up in prison for drug possession. He was let out in the custody of an influential friend on the condition that he leave the country. Green and Barbara could not get back into the Backeland house so they tried to stay in an hotel, but they were refused rooms. At this, Barbara 'went on the rampage' and broke several things in the hotel. They got rooms in another hotel, but in the middle of the night, Barbara started throwing bottles at the front door and kicking anyone who came near her. The hotel let them stay until the morning. Now Tony won't leave Majorca and neither will Barbara, though they don't have any money and won't see each other. Green and Barbara have nowhere to stay, but Green is going to let her fend for herself. Will let Beaton know as soon as he has an address.
