Scope and content
Gives Beaton her opinions about the Windsor pictures. Lists the ways in which "Vogue" was involved and helped with this sitting. Without 'even the courtesy of allowing us to see the pictures', Beaton 'rushed' to London with the prints and delivered his 'own choice' to the Daily Press. Feels that the Duchess of Winsor would not have expected Beaton pictures to be given to the newspapers and that "Vogue" should enable him to 'sell a scoop' to the "Evening Standard". Feels that Beaton has let them down badly. Beaton did a 'beautiful' job, but fears that now anything they publish will just be an 'aftermath'.
