Suggests Beaton speak to Balanchine. He stays at the hospital all day. This is Kirstein's first season since 1935 without Balanchine. Is arranging a memorial show of George Platt Lyne's photographs, nudes, portraits and theatre work. Asks Beaton's permission to use his portrait of George smoking a cigarette as a frontispiece. Suggests Beaton write a word for the album. Encloses what Marianne Moore wrote and a list of others who are including paragraphs.
