Scope and content

Explains why he has not written earlier. Is leaving for Key West tomorrow to do some work for Madame Goulash. Expects to be back in New York at about the time Beaton gets there. Mentions the Shirley Booth picture episode. Had a discussion with Margaret Case about Beaton sending an original picture to the Ogden Reeds. Will give Beaton the "Book of Tea" as a Christmas present. Is taking the folder on the "Scrapbook" to Florida with him to do some work on. Beaton's letter was very gratifying and touching. Feels he needs to find a way of regaining enthusiasm and self-confidence.
