Is assured by those responsible for the Isaac Newton Telescope scheme that the matters Lyttleton has raised were fully considered by British astronomers before the scheme was approved. Is satisfied that there are no grounds for his intervention. The Board of Visitors of the RGO decided on 11 June that there was no reason to depart from the policy already adopted. Adds in autograph manuscript that despite the proximity of Pevensey marsh the skies of Herstmonceuz are unusually clear for Britain.
