His memory is poor after more than 50 years. His second set of rooms in 1840 after taking his degree, which were in Third Court, but he did not stay long. He must have preceded Ellicote. Doubts whether Thos. Whytehead ever really occupied E3, as he went almost immediately to New Zealand with the Bishop. He succeeded him in 1843 and held them until he left Cambridge in 1846.
