Scope and content

Description of the location Rev. W.M. Griffin's rooms. Scadding lived at the foot of this staircase. The windows used to be pointed out to visitors by the porters as the rooms which Kirke White had occupied at the time of his death. Griffin then moved to rooms in Third Court which he described as anything but comfortable. Scadding's name was replaced with that of France at the end of 1836. Memo is undated.
