Scope and content
How rich Beaton shall be when he sees her again, if he can ever tear himself away from the "land of dollars". Wishes he could send her some of the newspaper cuttings of his exhibition. Asks him to tell her about it. Discusses a friend's Paris exhibition. She has no genius and "can't do anything except pelt her canvas with bits of wood and tin and moss". Stephen has gone back to Fallodon. Hopes he doesn't stay there too long as the climate is not safe. He and Siegfried [Sassoon?] were here 10 days ago. Siegfried took up a perilous drive through the thick fog. He is the "Prince of Best Sellers". Mr Nicholson is most enchanting. He has an enthralling personality and lives in a vast cathedral-like house.
