Gives thanks for a present of Smith's Dictionary of the Bible. Is pleased to have found that the Colonial Secretary is a friend of Lady Franklin's. He is also a great supporter of JWC's. Believes that news of his 'doings' will have reached England. Gives news of the support he is receiving. Invites Lady Franklin to visit Natal. Attached is a letter from Colin Bentham to F. P. White, dated 24 May 1952,

offering St John's College the letter as a donation from the Scott Polar Research Institute.
