Scope and content

These two folders cover paper 6 of the Part I Historical Tripos 'British political and constitutional history since 1867'. Folder 86 contains printed hand-outs for undergraduate lecture series in British political history listing recommended reading, and in some cases providing the titles and dates of lectures delivered, together with PFC's pencil notes for individual lectures, and photocopies from published works giving statistics referred to in those lectures. A copy of the Part I Tripos paper for 1988 for this course is also included. The period covered is 1986-98, though not all notes are dated. Folder 87 covers the period up to the end of Michaelmas 2003, but includes some earlier material, where lectures from one year have been used as a basis for later years, but adapted. Most notes are pencil, but the last lecture delivered in 2003 'Old Labour, new Labour' is wordprocessed. A course guide for 2003-4 and lecture evaluation forms for 2003 are also included.
