Biographical history
Ken North first came to College in 1923 as a chorister. He remained a member of the Choir until 1926. He worked at Eaden Lilley's grocery department until he was appointed Kitchen Clerk in October 1935.

MS memoirs of Ken North, Chorister and Kitchen Clerk from 1923, including photocopies of related publicity and memorabilia (including typescript instructions to Bedmakers' (bedders) and Gyps' dated 1934); a hand-drawn plan of layout of Kitchen in 1936, with handwritten notes.
Also includes, material cleared from Ken North's house in 1986: photographs of silver plate, negatives of , garden staff and produce, the College bake-house late-1930s, 'swans' to be served at May Ball 1950; May Ball card 1939; and other memorabilia from College dinners and events).
Additionally includes photographs and negatives of the Lennox Cup awarded by the Royal Horticultural Society which Ralph Thoday and the gardening staff won in 1954; and news clippings concerning the gardens, gardener Ralph Thoday and a story about the College's Pig Club.
