Note

Clarke was given the role of Junior Bursar in 1963. He remained in the role of Junior Bursar for four years, during which time he was also President of the May Ball and Treasurer of the LMBC. After stepping down in his role as Junior Bursar, he was asked to take on the role of College Steward. Clarke sat on the College Investments Committee, the Gardens Committee, Council and the Audit Committee. Throughout this period he maintained research, teaching and supervision responsibilities.
