Comments upon FH's book Astronomy and cosmology, concluding that it is a) 'a general book adequately replacing Frontiers of Astronomy', b) 'a source book for the primary and secondary teacher', and c) 'a stimulating introductory text for the undergraduate (and postgraduate first entering astronomy)'. Considers MacGibbon's estimate of having an audience of 100 studying astronomy in some form in the universities 'fair, perhaps a trifle conservative', and notes that a book by FH would have appeal 'far beyond the confines of academic Astronomy'.
