Scope and content

Typescript letter from Marion Gough, Senior Editor of 'House Beautiful' magazine, in which Gough approves an extended deadline for Beaton to submit an article to them on the subject of 'taste'. She reminds Beaton of the questions that they agreed should be covered within the article, including: What is taste? How do you distinguish between good and bad taste? Is taste a natural attribute or can it be developed? How can it be developed? Can Beaton cite any examples of good taste in the field of domestic or public design? Gough concludes that she looks forward to hearing from Beaton by 24th June.
