His delay in replying was due to the difficulty of representing all the details of the Labyrinth on a diagram. Suggests contacting Rev. T.H. Bush, vicar of Christchurch, Hampshire for more information, as he occupied D2 (not D3). Bush was in the middle and Proud at the top. Widdowson commenced residence in 1855 and his predecessor was Broome. His bedmaker Mrs Sharpe used to speak of a classicist named Owen and a Mr Scudamore who kept the same rooms in the past. Has marked the names of occupants on the plan (plan not present).
