Entered into residence in October 1856 and had rooms either in G2 or H2 First Court, opposite W.H. Barlow, now vicar of Islington. The previous occupant was "Owston". In 1857 Baker moved into K1 (Kirke White's), the previous occupant being R.G. Meade. The room above was occupied by A. Borrodaile. In 1855 or 56 A2 Third Court was occupied by W.J. Taylor, late vicar of Oldbury, Hereford scholar. The previous occupant was "Dumas". Baker was a Somerset scholar.
