Scope and content

Has heard the 'welcome news' of JWW's transfer to Lambeth Palace and feels sure that he has some great work in him. Suggests he has 'done with that fellow Bellamy' as he has got the maximum of credit out of him. Is pleased to hear of the defeat of the Vice-Chancellors' revolutionary plan. Notes his 'rage' for a study of antiquities and mentions a plan he has introduced 'at Lincoln for extending this pursuit.' Hopes that JWW will be at the coronation so he can send an account of it.
