Scope and content

Beaton's letters always make him long to see him. Is having a "fit of doubt" about the colours and fabrics he has chosen for Wilsford. The doctors think he will get well in a week or two. Scolds Beaton for being "unworthy" of the articles he has written. Discusses whether or not he should have white or cream carpets at Wilsford. Would like some silver and white baroque or Louis XVI furniture in the drawing room. Is struggling to get better because Wilsford is so "upside down and empty".
