There is nothing else Beaton could have given him with such a guarantee of rapture. Is deeply grateful. Has had news of Beaton from Rex. Has been living in Bavaria so long that his "eyes get large and round" when he hears of "the great big wicked cities". Cannot write more as he tires easily, but he felt he must write and thank Beaton immediately.
