Scope and content

Has just completed this interesting and slightly exhausting job. Has made some niggling suggestions and some unkind attacks on a number of passages. Suggests that he lighten up the later sections. The last chapter strikes him as unsatisfactory. The photographic history has no relation to the rest. Asks Beaton to telephone him if there are any queries. They have not yet discussed a fee, but he would like to have a word with Beaton on the telephone as he has a suggestion to make.
