Scope and content
Has been placing her flowers. Beaton has really robbed his garden. Enjoyed her weekend. It was "crowded with incidents". Has had a hard day of rehearsals. Only agreed to do the part because of certain speeches and they have all been cut. Discusses her autobiography. Feels her own life was not interesting after 60. Believes that to be interesting about oneself one has to be either a good writer or an exceptionally interesting person "and I can't lay claim to either!" Does not have the courage to write another 30,000 words.
