Still no news; old Goldwyn hangs fire and no bite from Schenck; inconvenient-- wants some temporary work as likely coming to coast soon. Plans vague; depressing not to be able to make up his mind. Peter coming next week; doesn't know what he'll do about him though Peter rather looks forward to a California trip. Get Schenck to show her the designs he sent him. Kitty and 'that old slob Gilbert' just appeared upon the scene. Noël's new show seems very poor and people hate it. Adrian was divine here. Has spoken to Nate but haven't had time to get around. Been much too much nonsense going on; is 'unnerved and a wreck with having done no work and having too many good times. Now that Peter arrives everything will be less carefree.'
