Note
There are triplicate copies of the 1888 Lady Margaret Ball programmes. A copy of the 1888 programme, together with the 1912 and 1939 programmes, are stored separately from the rest of the collection. For SJCL/4/1/6d, see Volume List. For SJHR/2/13, see 128/COLLEGE.
The original pencils used for writing dance engagements are still attached to some of the earliest dance cards. These include two of the three 1888 programmes, as well as the programmes for the 1894, 1895, 1912 and 1927 Balls, and the 1897 Trinity Boat Club Ball. The pencils have been lost from the 1892 and 1898 programmes.
