Indenture whereby William Whitaker, Master, and the Fellows and Scholars of St John's College lease to Francis Temple, gentleman, of Old Windsor, a garden plot in New Windsor, lying by the pound in Moore Street, lately occupied by Richard Temple, Francis' father-in-law, and containing half a rood, for 20 years from the date of the indenture, at a yearly rent of two shillings, payable at the Annunciation. If it is a fortnight in arrears, the indenture is of no effect. The lessee shall keep up the fences and walls at his own expense. He may not sublet without special licence. And he stands bound with one surety in 40 shillings.
