Note
The Lady Margaret Boat Club (LMBC) was founded in the October (Michaelmas) term of 1825 by 12 members of the College. St. John's College was the first College in Cambridge to have an eight-oared boat on the river, though Trinity College had had a four-oared boat a short time before the LMBC was founded. The first club consisted of 18 members.
