Grant to John Godrich and Isabella his wife, a plot of land containing one acre, one rood and ten perches, lying in a certain field called Scauperfeld (?) next the land of the Priory and a road leading from Chaurugge [Chawridge] towards the King's wood, to hold at a yearly rent of 15 pence and three farthings at Easter and Michaelmas, with suit of the Priory's court at Wynkefeld [WInkfield] once a year and 20 pence an acre (12 pence as a relief and 8 pence as a heriot) when the land changes hands by death or alienation. If the rent is six months in arrears, the Priory may re-enter and keep the chattels found. The grantees must do the King's service.
