Note
Henry Billingsley established scholarships to assist three poor scholars, who were to receive 12d. a week for commons. Preference was to be given to the lineal descendants of Billingsley, providing they were poor and apt for learning. Billingsley was to nominate the scholars, then after his death they were to be chosen by the College. The scholarships were terminated under the statutes of 1860.
