Scope and content
Discusses photographs taken by Beaton. Received the photographs in the morning while wearing no glasses. After looking at the photographs of herself, she felt she looked bald. Plankie did not like them. Inspected them again with glasses on and found them better and that she at least looked intelligent. Tells Beaton she has always suffered from 'being fat and looking healthy and straight off the farm'. Saw Diana, Desmond, Oggie and Maud Russell and had a lovely evening. Diana did not like the photographs. Laurian likes them, but not for publication. Is having lunch with Korda (Sir Alexander?) on Wednesday. Discusses 'Lottie' play. Has had no letter from Binkie (Hugh Beaumont). Asks Beaton to visit.
