Scope and content
The Duchess of Gloucester requested her to write to Beaton regarding a request he made that she lend one of her evening dresses to be exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum in New York. HRH has not had much time to think about this, but will let him know in the autumn. As regards exhibiting one of Queen Mary's dresses, the Queen felt that it was a little too soon after Queen Mary's death, but suggested that Beaton write to her lady-in-waiting next year. Asks that Beaton give more details about th exhibition to both the Queen and the Duchess of Gloucester.
