Scope and content

Thanks Beaton for his letter. Was interested to hear of Beaton's proposal to publish a Royal Album of his photographs. Cannot give Beaton the blessing of the Palace, as this would imply that the album was being published with The Queen's approval. But 'Her Majesty does not in cases like yours indicate lack of approval'. Beaton may ask for permission to include photographs which have not been published. The Queen will not give Beaton a sitting for the book. Discusses the photograph of the painting that Beaton did from the photographs. It would be all right for Beaton to give this to the Village Hall. Would like to meet up sometime.
