Scope and content

Describes his surroundings and travel conditions on the ship. Discusses new friends he has made. Spent the afternoon shopping. Went to a restaurant in the evening where he met a nice French lady. She had been bombed out of London a year ago. She gave them the use of her car for four days. Describes the places they visited over the next four days. Feels sad as the ship will soon reach its destination and he will lose all of his new friends. Is sorry that the letter is a rotten carbon copy and is hard to read.
