Scope and content

It is good to be home. Misses New York "like one misses an eager lover at night". There was a mix up in letters and Bettty Anne Clarke has not written to Beaton. She would like to meet him when he next comes to New York. Ruth received Beaton's photographs yesterday. Was taken with them, as "they showed us as beautiful". His new book, "Blood Dues", is out in October. Is proud of it and wants Beaton to read it. Is sending Beaton copies of the pictures he took at his place. "You look wonderful. It's me who looks mildly deranged". It seemed "dreamlike" to him coming from Midwestern towns. Ruth is in rehearsals for Crowley's play and is very happy.
