Scope and content
Similarities between the "stratospheric objects" and Murchison bacteria is striking. Has re-read FH's papers and books on the subject, and fells that he has "created a very plausible theory". Would like to help "by investigating some aspects of the atmospheric processes involved". Discusses bacterial fall through the atmosphere. Encloses a reprint (11/1/2) which "includes a freak photograph". Encloses a selection of photographs of chains of aggregated particles (probably 11/1/3). Encloses photographs of "chain-like particles at an altitude of 36km that are surrounded by liquid coatings" (possibly 11/1/4). Has obtained a small sample of the Murchison meteorite from the Australian Museum and sent it to Giessen.
