As FH will be in Washington in Sep. at the meeting of the IUPAP, would like to invite him to visit the University of Maryland while he is nearby. He would be welcome for any period convenient to him, and the University would provide 'a suitable honorarium, all relevant expenses, and large audiences at any talks you might give'. The department 'contains many people working in fields that you have helped to create', and colleagues at nearby centres would also be glad if FH spent some time in the area.
