ALS, addressed from Canonbury, Shrewsbury. The first, dated 29 February 1889, refers to a mention of 'The Huntiad' ['a speech delivered at the Guild Hall, Shrewsbury on the 4th November, 1806'] in the publication 'Shreds and Patches'. The second, dated 7 July 1893, thanks Butler for his recent contribution to a publication, and includes drawings of the Greek inscriptions on the antiquities discussed by Draston [?] in the third volume of the 'Salopian' [the magazine of Shrewsbury School].
