Manuscript. Also titled 'First three motets of the Liber Secundus Sacrarum Cantionum 1591 William Byrd'. Contents: I. Laudibus in sanctis; II. Magnificum Domini; III. Hunc arguta canant.

With an autograph letter signed from Charles Kennedy Scott to Mr Bendall, dated 11 Jan. 1902. Scott sends his manuscript of Byrd's motetts which he has lately been scoring. Has not had a vocal gathering since he last wrote. Agrees that 'Horsleys preface to the first book is absolute blasphemy'. 3p.
