Scope and content
Contents of folder so labelled (at a later date): correspondence, notes and calculations on the Relativistic Self-Consistent Field. At C19 is an explanatory note by Jeffreys, 1978. The mathematical technique known as the Relativistic Self-Consistent Field method (now known as the Hartree-Fock method, see C74) is an approximate method for the determination of the ground-state wavefunction and ground-state energy of a quantum many-body system. The three following folders (C28-C34, C35-C37 and C38-C43) also included material relating to the Relativistic Self-Consistent Field method. See also D12A and D13.
