Scope and content

This album belonged to W.T. Ritchie, a New Zealander, who came up to St John's in 1901. It comprises photographs of various St John's and Univerity sporting teams and social clubs of which he was a member. Also included are images of various sports matches, including the Varsity Rugby match of 1904. There are a few images of an army camp and views of mountains, probably in New Zealand. Also enclosed is an autograph letter giving a brief biography of Ritchie and the history of the album.
