Scope and content

Two sheets of autograph notes made by A.C. Brassington. One sheet contains a hand-drawn plan showing the location featured in Butler's painting of Mesopotamia; the other refers to two of Butler's watercolours, one of Langar and the other [possibly] labelled 'Cricini'. Black and white photographic reproductions of these two watercolours by Butler, and of the 'View of Mesopotamia' showing Butler's hut, by Capt. E.F. Temple (1880), are attached.
