Scope and content

Typescript letter, in which Beaton writes that he is pleased to hear that Carmel is going to use the photographs of his winter garden. In its present-day form, the fashion of the winter garden is no longer for hot houses, but for places which are heated only sufficiently enough to exclude the extreme cold of the winter months. Beaton describes his winter garden, which was built by Felix Hart. He adds that he hopes that the notes he has made in his letter will be of use.
