Scope and content

Manuscript letter, addressed to 'Madam' (most likely Beaton's mother) from Alice Collard ('Ninnie'), who was nanny to Beaton and his sisters. Collard writes that she was very glad to hear that Madam is feeling better and will be pleased to visit Miss Baba will she is away. Collard hopes that Mr Beaton and Cecil are recovering from the terrible shock. Asks that Baba let her know when she will be at home, in case Collard visits and she is not at home. This letter is dated shortly after Beaton's brother, Reggie, was killed by a London Underground train in October 1933.
