ALS, addressed from Broadstone, Wimborne. Thanks him 'for the memorials of S. Butler' and praises the 'Psalm of Montreal' and 'Erewhon'. Refers to a past séance at Mr Marshman's and a related letter of Butler's dated 1879. A note by Henry Festing Jones at the end of the letter reads: 'The error was in My Life the first (large) edition wherein he speaks of having met Butler. See my Memoir of Butler H.F.Jones March 1918'.
