Cannot attend the April Symposium on The origin of the planets and life, as has already promised to attend the Academy meeting in Washington in the fourth week of April. Hopes to see Wild at the next Anglo-Australian Telescope meeting in March. With regard to the Headingly cricket match, the MCC have reported that the wicket had caught a fungus; 'somehow the fungus and the choice of Underwood for the English team seemed to become connected'.
