Scope and content

The newspaper article is about a work by Cy Twombley and is annotated with the word 'Really'. The photograph is of the same work. On the verso is a handwritten note stating that a large sum of money had been paid for it by an admirer and that the writer rather liked it herself , "wrote Jack the Lang of Lang Syne". The writer is very fed up with France, so acquiescent. On the verso of the portrait is a handwritten note. Words fail the writer. . . Jack Lang has just heard about Caxton - even old Ph de R [Philippe de Rothschild] said they would not understand Cedric's ideas let alone appreciate them. He is too human. I am sending Jack O' Smiles a small piece of my mind . . .
