1/ Handwritten letter to Beaton from Albert Morrocco, in which Morrocco thanks Beaton for his letter concerning his pictures in the Royal Scottish Academy [R.S.A] in Edinburgh, and writes that he is amenable to the idea of Beaton purchasing of the painting, "Flowers For The Invalid". Morrocco also recounts the incident upon which the painting is based. [2 August 1964]. 2/ Beaton's typewritten reply to Morrocco's letter dated 2 August, in which he makes Morrocco an offer of one hundred and fifty pounds for his painting. [7 August 1964]. 3/ Handwritten letter to Beaton from Albert Morrocco, in which he accepts Beaton's offer of one hundred and fifty pounds; he writes that he has arranged with the R.S.A. that the picture be sent to Beaton after the R.S.A.'s exhibition has ended. [9 August, 1964]. 4/ A typewritten letter to the R.S.A from Beaton's Secretary, concerning an enclosed cheque for the purchase of Morrocco's painting. [21 August 1964]. 5/ Handwritten letter to Beaton from the R.S.A., concerning Morrocco's request for a red seal to be placed on his work; the sender also confirms that the cheque Beaton sent to them has been received. [21 August 1964]. 6/ Handwritten letter to Beaton from the R.S.A., concerning arrangements for the transportation of the painting at the end of the exhibition. A separate note written at the bottom of the page by a different hand reads: "Picture Sold In 1980 for £1300". [24 August 1964].
